The Faculty of Law of the University of East Sarajevo, in cooperation with the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized a lecture in the field of industrial property rights.

The lecture was held on Monday, June 2, in the term of classes in Intellectual Property Law at the faculty headquarters in Pale and was intended primarily for fourth-year students and graduates. For students who were not present, a broadcast was organized via the appropriate digital platform.

The lecture covered three important areas of industrial property law: patent law, trademark law and industrial design protection law.

Irma Isak-Gudelj, Head of the National Patent Department, spoke about patent protection at the national and international level. Dragan Trogrančić from the Trademark Department gave a presentation on trademark protection, and Goran Trifković, Expert Advisor for Industrial Design, spoke about the protection of industrial design.

The conditions of protection and the procedure for acquiring these rights in national and international frameworks were presented, and the importance of intellectual property protection was pointed out.

The lectures were exceptionally interesting, with many examples from the Institute's practice that will be useful to students and complement their knowledge in these areas.

Prof. Dr. Svjetlana Ivanović, a professor in the field of Intellectual Property Law, thanked the employees of the Institute for an excellent lecture.

"We thank our esteemed lecturers for their excellent lectures and for their time and effort," the Faculty of Law said in a statement.
