Organizational Structure
The organizational structure of the Institute is regulated by the Rulebook on Internal Organization of the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina, brought by the director of the Institute, with the consent of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from the 154th session held on September 11, 2018.
According to the Rulebook, the following organizational units have been established for performing the tasks for which the Institute is competent:

2. Sector for Patents
- Department of National Patents
- Department of International Patents
3. Sector for Distinctive Signs
- Department of Trademarks
- Department of Industrial Design and Geographical Indications
4. Sector for the Development of Intellectual Property System
- Department of Information Systems
- Department for the Development of Intellectual Property System
- Department of Copyright and Related Rights
5. Sector for General, Legal and Personnel Affairs
- Department of General, Legal and Personnel Affairs
- Records Management Office
6. Sector for Budget, Financial and Accounting-Material Affairs
- Department for preparation, analysis and control of budget execution and reporting
- Department of Financial and Accounting-Material Affairs
Tasks under the competence of the Institute are executed in the headquarters of the Institute in Mostar and respective branch offices in Sarajevo and Banja Luka.
