Intellectual Property System

Intellectual property system includes series of elements that can be grouped in three components the establishment and harmonized functioning of which allows functioning of a system as a whole.

A. LEGISLATION:

  1. International conventions and treaties in the domain of intellectual property,
  2. Laws governing intellectual property,
  3. Bylaws (regulations, implementation regulations).

B. INSTITUTIONS, whose competence includes:

  1. Preparation of proposed legislation in the domain of intellectual property rights,
  2. Preparation of proposals for international conventions, treaties and agreements in the domain of intellectual property,
  3. Conducting procedures for the grant of industrial property rights,
  4. Enforcement of intellectual property rights by means of legal instruments, which fall within the competence of courts, prosecutor's office, market inspection, customs procedure, police, agriculture, organizations for collective management of copyright and related rights.

C. USERS

  1. Individuals filing applications for the grant of protection of industrial property (foreign and national),
  2. Users of information funds in the domain of intellectual property,
  3. Authors and right holders under copyright and related rights.
