Preparatory meetings of the EU4IP-WB6 project "Strengthening Intellectual Property Rights - Enlargement and Neighbourhood"
Preparatory meetings, i.e. fact-finding mission of the EU4IP-WB6 project "Strengthening Intellectual Property Rights - Enlargement and Neighbourhood", funded by the European Union and implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), were held on 15 and 16 April 2026 in Mostar and Sarajevo.
The purpose of the meetings was to establish cooperation with key stakeholders in Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current situation in the field of intellectual property, to identify priority needs and challenges, and to discuss potential areas of cooperation within the EU4IP Western Balkans project, with the aim of supporting harmonization with the EU acquis and advancing regional cooperation.
The meetings, which were held at the head office of the Institute for Intellectual Property Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Mostar and the building of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo, were attended by representatives of the EUIPO, the Institute for Intellectual Property of BiH, relevant inspections, the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA), the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and other institutions competent in the field of enforcement of intellectual property rights, as well as representatives of chambers of commerce in BiH.
