Management of the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the work of the 66th WIPO General Assemblies

Director of the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina Josip Merdžo and Deputy Director Zdravko Kašković participated in the work of the 66th General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), held at WIPO's headquarters in Geneva.
During the sixty-sixth series of meetings of the WIPO General Assembly, key institutional decisions were discussed, including the initiation of the process of appointing the Director-General, as well as the future and implementation of international treaties.
The Institute's delegation held numerous bilateral meetings with WIPO leaders, including the Head of the TDC Department, Hasan Habip, where they discussed plans for cooperation with the Institute in the next period regarding the launch of the IPAS patent system, ePCT filing training for Institute's employees, as well as patent attorneys and IP management for small and medium-sized enterprises. The interlocutors from WIPO welcomed the adoption of laws in the field of intellectual property in the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a major progress in this area.
Nearly 1,600 delegates from 193 WIPO member states participated in the assembly, according to WIPO data. This event is a key international forum for discussing intellectual property issues.
