Pursuant to the Article 11 and 156 of the Law on Industrial property in BiH (BiH Official Gazette no. 3/02), Acting Director of the Institute for Standards, Measurement and Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina, adopts

RULE BOOK

ON INDUSTRIAL DESIGN

PART I – GENERAL PROVISIONS

Article 1. Area and scope of application

1. This Rule Book regulates the issues included into the Law on industrial property in Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter the Law) regarding procedures in front of Institute for Standards, Measurements and Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter: Institute).

2. The Rule Book regulates the following:

a) content of industrial design application;

b) content of the register of application of industrial design;

c) application procedure;

d) procedure for publication;

e) content of register of industrial design;

f) publication of grant of the industrial design right in the “Institute Official Gazette”;

g) regulations on issuance of certificate on industrial design;

h) register of changes regarding the right or its holder;

i) register of changes regarding representatives;

j) procedure for issuance of excerpt from relevant registers, copies, information;

k) procedure for searching through relevant register;

l) procedure for issuing a decision on refusal of industrial design;

CHAPTER II – THE PROCEDURE FOR THE GRANT OF AN INDUSTRIAL DESIGN RIGHT AND REGISTER OF APPLICATION

Article 2. Industrial design application

Industrial design application shall be submitted to the Institute or branch office in accordance with the document on internal organization of the Institute.
